november WORKSHOP
Climate Cafe: Tending to our distress, anxiety and grief in the face of crisis
Our workshop this month will be led by guest practitioner Parker Bowling, a licensed psychotherapist, coach, facilitator and farmer working at the intersections of mental health, climate justice and engaged spirituality.
Join us on 19th November from 6:30-7:30pm (GMT)
about the workshop
Feelings of deep distress about the climate crisis, ongoing genocides, systemic injustices and political upheaval are rational responses to the irrational circumstances we find ourselves in.
Aware that our mental health and the world that we're a part of are inextricably interconnected, Climate Cafes allow you to share your personal responses to ecological and related systemic concerns.
The intention for our workshop is to create a space for community support to hold these overwhelming feelings together. We welcome you as you are, including all of the identities, experiences, relationships and systems that affect your life.

kind words about our wellbeing workshops
“The descriptive guidance offered during the session was helpful for me to realise how scattered my mind has been over the last few months, and which parts of my body need more rest and care. I am so excited to get back into practicing yoga.”
“I attended the Nidra Yoga session with The Joyful Activists, and had a wonderful experience. The session was a great opportunity to consciously check-in with my mind and body - which I haven't had the chance to do in a while.”
"Thank you so much, this workshop was just what I needed! I feel so much calmer, and it's so nice to be around other people who want to prioritise their mental health too.”
"The session was enjoyable and made me reflect. I went away feeling refreshed and there were things I felt inspired to put into action right away. I went away with a spring in my step; I am now taking a whole new approach to my work, and feeling like my wellbeing is much better."
