How does it work?
There's just one step - add your email address! You'll then receive our daily emails for seven days. Our first email will outline steps to get started with journaling.
What happens after the seven days?
If you want to go deeper with your journaling, you can get a copy of our 50-page guide ‘Journaling for Joy’ which explores each of the seven themes in more depth, with over 150+ prompts.
I can't journal every day, can I still sign up?
Absolutely! The emails are yours to use however is useful, so you can come back to them at any time and pick up from where you last left off.
What kind of journal do I need?
You can use any kind of journal. A paper notebook, the Notes app on your phone, recording a voicenote to yourself, writing yourself an email. Journaling is something to do for yourself, so there's no wrong way to do it.
I've never journaled before, is this for me?
Yes, absolutely! You don't need to have journaled before, or have the ability to write profound prose or beautiful poetry. Ultimately, journaling a practice where you develop the capacity to self-reflect, and that can be with one-word answers or long paragraphs, whichever works for you on the day.
I find journaling difficult, what would you recommend?
Everything can feel a little difficult before we start, so we recommend giving it a go for seven days to see how you feel. You could also use the journal prompts as conversation starters with loved ones or friends, if you don't want to write your thoughts down.

Katy Massey
Katy Massey is an award-winning girls' rights specialist, human rights activist and trauma-informed practitioner. She has worked and volunteered in the charity and humanitarian sectors in the UK and internationally for 20 years.
Katy holds qualifications in Thrive (neuroscience, child development & attachment theory), Trauma-Informed Doula Education, Adverse Childhood Experiences, Perinatal Mental Health, Child Protection and Advanced Safeguarding, Childhood Adversity, Psychological First Aid, Mindfulness in Schools, Human Rights, Playwork & Early Years, and Teaching in Post-Compulsory Education.
She is currently studying a Masters in Education, Gender and International Development, with part of her academic research focusing on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) for both children and humanitarian workers in global emergencies and humanitarian crises.
She credits much of her career success and personal development to journaling - it helped show where she had fears and limiting beliefs, and navigate ways to move past them.
